No, not a smile. A simile. Y’know, that thing we learned in school where something is like another thing. It’s all over pop music!

The playlist does not include songs with just any mention of a simile. It is limited to songs that use “like” as the centerpiece of the chorus. Think Madonna’s Like a Prayer and Like a Virgin. Come to think of it, Madonna should complete her simile trilogy with a third Like a song. What would it be about?
